Akimbo Corps

A Mobster-themed 3D tower defense game created for the GMTK Game Jam 2023. The game-jam's theme was "Roles Reversed", we created an anti-stealth game where you place units in the right spots to catch and defeat an intruder.

Peking Duck Escape

This is a 2D platformer focused on climbing a tower with a grappling hook, created for the Mountain Top Game-jam. During the jam, I designed the level. Post-jam, I worked as backend developer towards creating a full game release with redesigned gameplay, where I used an agile board to organise features and track progress. Many systems and mechanics were redone to be more suitable for long-term development.

Despite investing a lot of time developing, I eventually I abandoned the project

  • The art is bad. I would need to redo it to be up to standard.
  • The code is not very good, it is difficult to adjust movement mechanics without breaking things.
  • The level is one giant map, similar to getting over it. It's time consuming to adjust sections and can get very messy.

Remaking this project would be my first priority once I have the time to do so.
